Ordered take out from here. The service was great. Two nice young ladies attended to me while I waited for my food at the bar. The shrimp appetizer was pretty good. Definitely prefer the shrimp grilled though. The burger was good as well could’ve been more juicier. Can’t remember what kind of cake I had but it was delicious. Love the portion sizes. Definitely will be back

Don’t overlook this place because you have never heard of it or it just looks old/average from the outside. The food was amazing. Prepared fresh onsite. Steak was amazingly cooked exactly as requested. The portion sizes were very generous. The onion rings are freshly breaded and are phenomenal. They don’t want you to leave hungry. The staff is friendly, courteous and very quick and helpful. This is a small town place right off the interstate that should be in everyone’s list to stop and try at least once!

This is our second time visiting Barney’s Roadhouse. The first time we went, we were forced here because all other restaurants in the area were super busy. We have been immediately seated both times we visited. The food is actually really good. They have a lunch special and dinner special daily that changes. My husband had a double patty burger, my son had a kids cheeseburger, my daughter had a chicken sandwich, and I had the prime rib.The prime rib was just 'Meh' at best. The Au Jus sauce they served on the side was ice-cold. The butter beans were great, as well as the mashed potatoes. The chicken sandwich is huge; my daughter could only eat about 4 bites and brought the rest home. The kids' cheeseburger is also fairly large and more than enough. The fries are great and perfectly seasoned. The cheese sticks, though? Fabulous.All in all, this place is far too slow for how good the food is. It’s pretty pricey, but in my opinion, well worth it. We will be back. You should give it a try if you are on the fence

This place must be the best kept secret in the area. My wife and I were passing through, and decided to eat here. The menu was full of delicious sounding options, so we tried most of the appetizers lol. Fried green tomatoes, mushrooms, fried pickles and mozzarella sticks, and pimento cheese balls. They were all amazing. Those pimento cheese balls are outstanding. Light and creamy inside. Everything was wonderful, until I got my pork chops, which were overcooked and hard. They took it back, and made it right though. It was an excellent experience

In my opinion if you want a down home cooked meal stop in you will be treated like family and you will swear your grandmother is in doing the cooking if you leave hungry it is because you didn't eat what was served food piled on your plate staff very good at what they do owners are very good people enjoy yourself here

I’m so glad we decided to eat here rather than at the Petro. I read the reviews and looked at the pictures before we went and my mouth was watering then! I decided to get the ribeye, Brussels sprouts and coleslaw and my husband got a cheeseburger and fries. Oh yea I added a side of shrimp to mine as well. I’ve been craving steak all day and this place hit the spot! Some people mess up my medium well steak, but not this place. It was on point! I asked for A1 sauce because I’m use to using it, but found myself not using it after I tasted it without it. My husband kept shaking his head talking about “this the best burger I’ve ever had”! then he just kept shaking his head after every other bite talking about “mmm mmm mmm”. I thought the waitress was for sure going to mess up our order because she didn’t write anything down… surprised the heck out of me. You did that girl! Everything was wonderful. If you stop at this truck stop, just hop out your truck and walk straight across the street. You will not be disappointed!
